Week 15

                                                                                                                       Feb. 2nd, 2015

¡Tanto Tiempo!

  Mi Familia!!!

Let me start by apologizing that I couldn`t email last week!! It`s a long story (and by long story I mean short story that is sad to tell)... We spent that P-day playing ping-pong and outside games with some missionaries and the Santos Family, and it was super fun! Then my companion and I walked to the computer lab to write home, and it was closed! The sign said it was supposed to be open at three and it was past that time, so we waited an hour outside and it never opened! As it turns out, here in Uruguay, if it`s super hot, super cold, or raining, the shops don`t open. :P Haha, some wisdom from Hermana Urbina.

But anyway, that`s in the past, and it`s P-day again!!! Last week the Santos family was baptized!! I never realized how stressful a baptismal service can be. We didn`t have much time left before the service when we discovered that one of the Sister`s baptismal clothes didn`t fit! We rushed around a lot and stressed, but the Lord provides!! And now the family Santos are members of the church! It`s been so amazing to be a part of this change in their lives.  They are such a united family and have absolutely been prepared to hear the gospel. Haha, just this Sunday we invited the Hermano Alfredo to teach the Gospel Principles class and it was great! Hermana Urbina and I are convinced that he`ll be a bishop one day, and sometimes we call him Elder Santos, haha :P

I`m learning so much out here in the mission field... about the gospel, about the language, the culture, and the person that I want to become.  The mission is life-changing, and I`m just starting!! I know that this church is true, and that it`s the same gospel that God revealed to Adam and Eve, our first parents! I know that the teachings of Jesus Christ changes lives, and Always for the better. I know that this time that we have on Earth seems like forever, but it`s actually such a short time, and an essential one too.

Stay strong, and keep moving forward!! I love you!

 P.S.
Happy Birthday Kylie!! I remembered you on your birthday!!! My companion has a younger brother who has the same birthday as you! Crazy huh? Don`t grow up too fast, okay? My present for you is your room!!! Haha, do you like it?
I love you!
Paige: Hey!! Last week the computer lab wasn`t open!! It was soo sad!!!
Me: Im sending you some recipes, hopefully theyll arrive soon. I dont want you to be hungry.
Paige:  oh thank you! haha :) and don`t worry, I`m not hungry :) the Lord provides, never forget okay? There`s a really nice family that always brings us food when we don`t have anything :) I`m in good hands.
Also, one day, Hermano Alfredo wants me to make Fettucine Alfredo with his family! It`s going to be fun!
The Familia Santos were baptized!!!!!

Paige says "Check out the Sister Missionary tan line!!" ;)  Mom says "Check out all those bug bites!"
