Advantages to not speaking the language well!
Hola Familia!
This week was another great week in the
mission field! This week, one morning we were walking and we passed by
this man who was walking his two twin sons in a stroller. I stop and
asked if he had spoken with missionaries before, because he called us
Hermanas in greeting. He misinterpreted me and thought I asked if he had
been a missionary before, and it turned out that he had! He was a
returned missionary who is struggling right now, and asked for his name
to be taken out of the church registry. So it was really amazing that we
were able to find him! We ended up talking in the street for almost an
hour, and it was a really touching experience. The Lord definitely has
His hand in this work!
On Sunday
I gave a talk, my first one in Spanish! It was on food storage, tithing
and fast offerings. It was a really weird topic to work with, because
as missionaries we don´t really have a lot of material on food storage,
but everyone said that they could understand, which is a miracle! Haha,
but my companion said that she fell asleep. She´s really sincere, haha, I
love it!
We have this really weird situation
where we´re not sure if one of the women we´re teaching is less active
or an investigator, because she says she was baptized, but she doesn´t
show up in the church records... But she´s really hungry to learn about
the gospel and she is so sweet to us! It´s truly amazing to be a part of
this work!
This coming week is going to be
really crazy! We have zone training, Divisions, a stake activity, a
mission conference with Elder Viñas of the 70, and transfers!! I´m going
to finish my training this week, and I can´t believe it! I´m sure to
have a lot to report next week! But for now, this is all for this week!
Thank you for all the prayers and support!

Headed out shopping on their P day. Nice photo-bomb from the stranger.
Hanging with the Santos Family during their P day.
Paige said she was shopping in McMinnville.:) The shopping center is Mac Shopping Center.;)
Paige said that this is her last week being a missionary trainee.:) Next week is transfers so she thinks she'll get a new companion because Hermana Urbina has been in this area quite a long time. We appreciate Hermana Urbina helping and teaching Paige. We shall see where Paige ends up next week.
