Awkward Squared
Dear Everyone,
Well I´m back here in Juan Lacaze!
It´s sort of a culture shock, even though I just moved across the
country. It´s kind of funny because I feel like it´s cold here since I
was in Artigas and everyone else says it´s hot. My companion and I are
both a little awkward because we´re quiet so today we decided that the
name of our companionship is "Awkward Squared." haha.
We´ve
had some great experiences this week! It was a little sad because I lot
of the people we worked with when I was here 5 months ago are inactive
now, but we´ve stopped by and I really feel that we can help them come
back. There are some new faces here, which is really great. This week
our relief society president set us up an appointment with one of her
neighbors, we went there and it went really great! We´re going back
tomorrow so hopefully we´ll see some progress.
Other
than that we´ve been doing a lot of contacting so that we can have more
people to teach, in order to preach repentance and baptize converts! I
love Juan Lacaze, it´s a really special place with a lot of work to be
done!
This week Hermana Alba completed a year
of membership! Hopefully we´ll be able to go to the temple with her this
March. She´s an incredible person, and a really huge example to me.
Here
in the mission I´ve really come to learn that we can´t have a happy
life unless we live the Gospel. We have to recognize our faults Alma
39:13 in order to come to the Lord and have Him make us stronger Ether 12:27. I love you all and thank you for the support and prayers!
Hermana Autery
