Chau, Paysandú!
Hey Familia y Amigos!
So this week I arrived in my new area,
Fray Bentos, and I met my new companion, Hermana Olson. She´s really
great and she only has two more transfers left in the mission! We live
in a house with another companionship of sisters, and we´re all North American! It´s super great because we all have a lot in common, so we
get along really well and help each other get excited to work super
hard!
It was sad to leave my first area, but I
already love it here in my new area. There are loads of people to visit
and the members are super loving and they help us out a lot in the work!
I think it´s really funny because our chapel it tiny, but the
attendance is higher than it was in my ward in Paysandú, and the chapel
was way bigger there! There are rumors that they are going to add more
to our chapel soon though, so that will be interesting!
So
now I´ve finished my training and I´m teaching more than ever! I´m
striving the best that I can to understand what the people are saying so
that I can help them according to their needs. A lot of people are
going through hard times, but everything is a little easier with the
gospel in your life! I love teaching with my new companion, I feel like
we´re a lot more united and I feel a lot more comfortable talking to
everyone. As I'm teaching I really feel love for these children of God,
and I can tell that there are times when the Spirit truly touches their
hearts.
The Bishop's wife is super great! The
other day it rained a little, which means that everyone makes tortas
fritas! Sister Zulma ran to our house with her twin that night to bring
us some tortas, and it was a surprise, but it was so sweet! Also,
sometimes there are some really sweet little kids that come up to us and
ask for pass-along cards, and then they give us hugs! It's precious.
So
that's about it for this week! The church is true! And God loves you
all! The Lord is hastening His Work, and we all have a part in it! Keep
going strong!
