Week 20

                                                                                                                        March 9, 2015

Saludos from the Capitol!

 Hola!!!

So this week was really neat because I´m starting to get a lot more comfortable in my new area, and the members are starting to joke with me, haha :) it´s great. There´s a running joke with some of the members that goes like this:
"Hermana, how do you pronounce your name?"
"Awchry"
Then they say "Salud!" which is the Spanish version of "Bless you!" because I guess my last name sounds like a sneeze, haha!

We spent this week working super hard with the church members! The other day we met these three sisters who live together in a really small house, and I´m really excited to teach them because they seem really receptive! I just have a strong feeling that they've been waiting for something like the gospel to come into their lives!

An interesting experience that happened this week is that we went to a lesson with a less-active member, and he brought his uncle, who is a Pastor in the Adventist church.  It was a little crazy because he kept trying to preach to us in the middle of the lesson, but by the end he agreed with us! I was worried that there might be some contention, but everything was fine!

Right now I´m in the capital city to sign papers for my Visa! It was really neat to see some of the missionaries that I met in the CCM!

I love it here in the mission, and I`m learning more and more everyday! I know that the gospel brings everyone´s lives more happiness! I love you all!

Paige: Im in the capital!!!
Me: What are you doing there?
Paige: I had to come all the way down here to sign two pieces of paper so that I can stay here legally. haha :P but I got to see a lot of the elders from the CCM.  Unfortunately I was the only American girl who came today from my mission, but I saw two other girls who were in the CCM with me, they´re in the other mission in Uruguay though, still in training! haha :)
Me: Are you loving Fray Bentos? I'm sure you miss the people from Paysandu.
Paige:  Yes, I miss Paysandù, but I love it in Fray Bentos too! There are a lot more hills, so it´s a work out, but I eat a lot more so I´m still getting chubbier! Woo Hoo!
Me: I did buy you some snacks. :) You may get to eat them in the months ahead;)
Paige:  Woo hoo! American stuff! :D
