Week 62

January 4, 2016

Happy New Year!

Dear Everyone,

Happy 2016! It`s amazing to me that I`ve spent all of 2015 here in Uruguay and I`m so grateful for this time I`ve had! This week was a little tough because everyone is busy or traveling for the Holidays, but the Lord truly guided us to find people that we weren`t exactly expecting to find. I know that this is His work!

On New Years our mission president gave us the whole morning to do personal studies, and it was a really uplifting experience. Then in the afternoon we went visiting all the people in our ward that were passing the holidays alone. There are some really sweet elderly people here that always say hi to us. We ate dinner with a family on new years day and it was really neat. Holidays here include a lot of food!

Our investigador, Blanca moved to Brazil, so we`re going to pass her teaching record, she`s just about ready to be baptized so it`s tough that we won`t be able to see her get baptized after so much time working with her, but I know that the Lord is wise and has a purpose for everyone.

As I was meditating about all the things that I`ve learned this year, I believe that it all adds up to one conversion. I know that i am a better person today than i was when I started the mission, and I have learned so much. I know my Savior so much more personally and rely on Him every day. I know that the personal conversion of a missionary is the best souvenir to bring home. I love the Lord and I love this work! Thanks so much for all the support!
