¡El Dìa Largo y Màs!
Buenas!!
We had another amazing week
here in Fray Bentos!! On Monday after P-day was over we went out to go
work, we had a family home evening with the familia Varela and we
brought one of our investigators, who is the aunt of Hermana Varela. We
taught them about the Book of Mormon, and it was really amazing because
when we left and walked with Griselda on the way back home, she told us
that she felt this really strong peace and happiness. We told her that
it was the Spirit, and she went home really excited that night.
We
also had our zone training this week, and my companion was able to
teach all of us because she`s the sister training leader! (As well as
Hermana Church) We went over together what we learned from Elder Oaks
and how we can become even more effective instruments in the hands of
the Lord.
This week we had a ward activity,
called the Dìa Largo. The first of May here is sort of like Labor Day,
and everyone has work off, so we had an activity all day! Griselda came,
and she played games with us and the members! Near the end the members
all started to dance together and Griselda was out there dancing with
everyone! They separated into three teams and her team won! Now we`re
preparing for another activity, a talent show that`s going to be this Saturday.
We
also had an amazing lesson with another investigator, Taresa. She`s
really hard to find because she never has a fixed schedule, but we came
to visit her for the third time, and she was really excited to tell us
that she had fulfilled her commitments! She had read the whole first
book of Nephi, when we left her with the first chapter of first Nephi as
a type of homework. She`s really in-tune with the spirit, and it`s
really amazing to see her progress!
This work
is amazing! There`s definitely a lot of opposition, my companion and I
like to think that we leave the apartment and enter the battle field!
It`s a wonderful thing to see the Lord preparing people to hear this
message. I know that God has so much in store for all of his children!
This week I heard from the familia Santos from my other area, they`re
going to the temple on the 16th! It made me so happy to hear that, I
teared up, haha. There is no greater joy in the world than knowing that
you helped bring the happiness of the gospel into the life of someone
else!
Love, Hermana Autery
Lots of pictures this week because she received the usb port/sd card slot that we had to send her because she misplaced her first one. Get to Skype with Paige this Sunday, Mothers Day. Super Excited! :)
