Transfers!

Hey!

So yesterday we got the call for the transfers, and I was so sure that I was staying in Fray Bentos because my companion has been there for six months, but as it turns out we`re both going to Colonia and closing our area! I couldn`t believe that we`re closing this area because of all the people there are to visit, but I guess the elders who share the ward with us will just have a lot more work to do! It turns out that the President has been closing a lot of areas because he`s lowering the amount of missionaries in the mission to prepare for the next mission president. So I`ll be companions with Hermana Guzman, who is from Bolivia, and has the same amount of time in the mission as my trainer. So basically all of my companions are going to end their missions around the same time, which will make me a little sad when the time comes!

But it was a great last week here in Fray Bentos! One of our investigators recently returned from Montevideo to have a surgery. We were worried that she would have completely forgotten everything because she was gone for a few weeks and they operated on her skull, but she actually remembered a lot! It was so amazing to see her again, she is such a sweet lady with such strong desires to do the right thing. We brought a member with us, and it turned out that the two of them were friends when they were in grade school! The member we brought, Nury, commited herself right then and there to come visit America (our investigator) twice a week to read the book of Mormon with her. It really strengthened my testimony of the importance of working with members! Nury left the lesson feeling so motivated to help America as much as she could.

I love Uruguay! I can`t believe I`m leaving this area, I`ve come to love the people so much, but it`s so amazing to get to know new people and share the gospel! I love this work, it`s so important to prepare the world Jacob 6:2
