Dear Family and Friends,
I`m
sorry if some of you were a little worried yesterday that I couldn`t
write, this week we were given short notice that we would have a zone
conference in Montevideo! Even though it was sort of a surprise, it was
amazing! We came prepared by reading St. John, and the President had
some of us volunteer and share the new things that we learned and our
commitments. A lot of things really hit me, and I committed myself to
really strive to be the best that I can, and be willing to be corrected
when I`m not doing something well. I also said the closing prayer at the
end in front of everyone and the president! I got really nervous but
I`m pretty sure I said everything right!
This week was
really special because we went to go visit the Relief Society President
and she and her counselor had fought because they didn`t agree about how
things were being done in relief society. They said some hard things to
each other and they both felt terrible. We weren`t sure how we were
going to be able to help the president, but we had prayers in our hearts
and the Spirit truly guided us. The next morning we went to visit her counselor who said she didn`t want to come back to church, but we talked
to her too. This Sunday they both came to church! It was really hard to
see that two friends had hurt each other so much, but we had them each
say a prayer for one another, so hopefully they can get past this.
I
asked the mission president for permission to go to the temple with the
Santos family from my first area in Paysandù, because they`re going to
do the baptism for their mom, who died almost a year ago. This was his
reply: "I think we should plan on you being there - help me remember!
Thanks
for being such a special representative of the Lord. We love you!!"
I`m so excited to be able to take part in that day!! I`ve never been so
happy.
