A crazy week!
Dear Readers,
What a crazy week it`s been here in Juan Lacaze! Filled with lots of activities, both planned and unplanned.
First
off, we had an activity in the branch where we all made churros!
Monica, a less active member came to teach us and one of our
investigators came, Marianna. It was a lot of fun! Everyone loved it!
Then, we got a call from the doctor who we called because Hermana Guzmàn
has been having back problems, and she scheduled us in for this week,
so we ended up traveling to Colonia to make her appointment. We had a
little bit of extra time before the bus left, so we walked a little bit
through Cuidad Vieja, a beautiful part of Colonia :)
This
week I`ve had a lot of really great spiritual experiences. I`ve had so
many times where we go to visit people and they start telling us their
personal problems, and sometimes I have no idea what to say until the
Spirit guides me to know the words to share. I`m truly humbled to be an
instrument in the Lord`s hands to help his children here in Uruguay.
This
week I gave a talk in sacrament on Pride. It was a really great subject
to study! I realized that sometimes I have pride in my heart, but now
I`ve committed myself to be more humble and teachable. Pride is a tricky
thing, it`s easy to notice in other people, but hard to notice in
ourselves. I actually ended up talking for 20 minutes if you can believe
it! The branch president stood up to give me a note that said time was
up. It was a little embarrassing, but I just laughed afterwards because I
know that never would have happened to me back home!
The
family Santos from Paysandù went to a stake activity this week, which
was MTC for a day! Alfredo (Elder Santos) was the district leader!
Dayana told me that after this experience, she wants with all her heart
to serve a mission, and that she can`t wait until she turns 21. I love
them so much and I can`t wait to go to the temple with them! They are my
Uruguayan Family!
I love you all! Thank you for everything!

| We learned to make Chaja, a cake typical to Paysandù with Hermana Alba! |
| We pretended it was Hermana Guzmàn`s 25th birthday because she didn`t have a cake for her birthday in January :) |
