Week 40

August 3rd, 2015

Taking Juan Lacaze by Storm

Mis Amados Hermanos,
Well, this week, I sent my companion, Hermana Guzmàn, on the bus that took her home to her country, Cochabamba Bolivia. It was sad to see her go but I am so grateful for her faithful service to the Lord. She taught me SO much! Thanks to her I`ve grown a lot here in Juan Lacaze.
To help me out this last week of the change, the mission president sent me one of the missionaries from my MTC arrival group, Hermana Short! She lived in our house with me when I worked in Fray Bentos too. It`s been fantastic working with her, she has a hard working spirit and I`ve loved teaching with her these last few days. We have a lot of goals to help Juan Lacaze progress, and I`m really excited to see how it goes this last week!
Concerning the title of this email, it`s been storming the last few days here, but a little lightning hasn`t stopped us! We`ve been seeing miracles here.
We met this week with one of the inactive members here, Hermano Gayol. He hasn`t come to church for the last three months that I`ve been here. But we were finally able to have a lesson with him and on Sunday he came! It made me so happy that he made the decision to come back.
We got to church early this week and nobody came from the Relief Society presidency, so we were asked to give the lesson right before class started. It was funny, because a request like that would have totally scared me before, but yesterday we taught my first ever surprise relief society lesson! It was great, I think the sisters are really excited to help the people in their lives receive the blessings of the Gospel that they have received.
I love you all! Until next week! (P-day will be a tuesday)
