Week 46

The Best Day of My Life

Dear Conocidos,

I`ve had some amazing weeks in the mission, but this week was better than all the rest!!

This Friday my companion and I traveled down to Montevideo and stayed in the hostel next to the temple, the familia Santos was staying there too and that night I saw them! I ran up to them to give them a hug and almost cried from happiness--I knew that Saturday would be an amazing day.

On Saturday morning we went to the temple and I brought a few names of family members that I found a few weeks ago in family history. We had a small group with pretty much just the Santos family and us. Ariel (their older brother) did the baptisms just like when his younger siblings were baptized. It was so amazing! When Dayana went to do the baptism for her mom, I felt the Spirit so strongly it was overwhelming. I know that she will accept this ordinance!

I was able to do 6 baptisms for my family and I asked Alfredo to do 4 of the boys from my family. It was an incredible day, I know that Family History is a true and amazing work, that there really are so many people waiting to be able to receive these ordinances.  I learn so much at the temple and I love family history with all my heart and it makes me so happy to see that the Santos Family are being missionaries for their ancestors!

To top off the week this Sunday we went to church and one of our investigators (Veronica) finally came to church! It had been so long since we`ve had an investigator come that we forgot to explain what we do at church before the meetings. So we`ll meet with her tomorrow to be able to answer any questions she has. It was so exciting to have her there! She said that she wants to come to the activities that we are going to have this week at church.
