Tripping in Artigas
Oi!!!! (I think that`s how you spell hello in Portuguese)
So
this week was a really good week! There is a ton of work here in
Artigas! We have a couple of investigators here that are really
special-- and this week we invited everyone to be baptized, so hopefully
we`ll see some progression!
We had a miracle
this week because as we were inviting the Motta family to come to
general conference, the mom, Maria, suddenly said that she wanted to be
baptized. It took us by surprise because we hadn`t even brought us
baptism that lesson. But she said her son wanted to be baptized as well
as her daughter. She looked at them and they nodded their heads. It was
an amazing miracle!
I loved general conference,
it seemed to go by faster than ever. All the talks were amazing. I hope
we can all really search to obey the Spirit, and practice listening to
that still small voice to keep getting better little by little. And I
invite you all to apply what you learned in the conferences to your
lives.
This week between conference sessions we
went out proselyting and as we were walking in the street I tripped
and fell flat on my face in the middle of the street. A few people saw
me and asked if I was okay, but I just stood up and started laughing
really hard--the Lord protects His missionaries because fortunately I
hardly had a scratch!
In my studies there was a
scripture that I really liked. Sometimes we can get frustrated with
ourselves when we notice our imperfections and all the things we need to
improve, but as they Lord counsels in Doctrine and Covenants 67:13, we
just need to continue with patience until we are perfected. Don`t give
up and don`t get down! Our Savior didn`t sacrifice himself for perfect
people. He died for You!
I love you all, have a great week!
